At ATDC, we look for companies that have the potential to succeed. Factors we consider include:
An innovative science or technology based business concept.
ATDC companies represent bioscience, energy, hardware, Internet application, non-clinical health care, software and telecommunications industries. We generally do not accept consulting-oriented businesses.
A strong and committed management team.
ATDC prefers entrepreneurs with experience in the industry or technology critical to the business. The leaders of our member companies include both first time and serial entrepreneurs. At least one employee of the company must show a dedicated full-time commitment. Companies joining the incubator program typically have three to five team members in place.
A business with the potential to generate significant revenue and technology jobs.
ATDC accepts Georgia-based companies in growing and potentially large markets that can generate significant revenues and high-quality technology jobs.
Participation in ATDC community.
Our committed and experienced staff supports the growth and development of startups entering the incubator. We seek members who are receptive to our consulting, connections, and educational programming. Also, members must be willing to share their own experience and expertise with the ATDC community by participating in networking programs and mentoring opportunities.
Having a connection with Georgia Tech is not a requirement.
Although we are conviently headquatered at Georgia Tech, we welcome companies without a Georgia Tech affiliation.
